In Part 3 of this series, national experts discuss the science of reading and the importance of having a statewide literacy approach to curriculum development and program delivery.
Every student has a right to read...and there's a right way to teach them. That's why, in 2021, the Right to Read CT Coalition and CWCSEO will present a series of virtual forums about how and why Connecticut can embrace the science of reading. This series dovetails with a legislative effort to better prepare Connecticut educators and students by systematizing a statewide, research-based response to literacy. By taking action now, we can address COVID learning loss, a history of civil rights inequities, and the need for a skilled workforce.
