SAVE THE DATE: "Shared Services, Shared Opportunity" Forum
What: This informational forum and panel discussion will continue the important conversation around school district regionalization taking place this session in the Connecticut State Capitol. With a focus on “Shared Services, Shared Opportunity,” panelists will discuss the benefits of regionalization, including finding cost-saving efficiencies, increasing equity, and creating conditions to improve student outcomes. The hearing will allow lawmakers, the press, and the public to learn more about what regionalization is... and what it isn’t.
Who: Participants will include State Senate President Martin Looney, State Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff, State Senator and Education Committee Co-Chair Doug McCrory, Waterbury Mayor Neil O'Leary, and others. A full list of speakers and their roles, including panel moderators, will be issued prior to the event.
